Dr. Shweta Rana

An avid learner, a passionate teacher and mentor, Dr. Shweta Rana is Ph.D in Microbiology, recipient of Gold medal and Certificate of Excellence in Academics awarded by Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), Government of India. She presently teaches courses in Biology and Environmental Studies at FLAME. Her areas of research interest are in the fields of Plant Sciences, Sustainability Studies, Sustainable Food production, Heavy metals, Nanoparticles in Agriculture, Environmental Health, and Citizen Science. She has been the Faculty Mentor of EVS Club since its inception at FLAME in 2017.

Dr. Prasad Pathak

Dr. Pathak is a physical geographer with specialization in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems. Using these techniques, Dr. Pathak studies various environmental phenomena. For his doctoral work, Dr. Pathak studied glacial lakes in arctic Alaska for changes in their trophic structure and its links with surrounding landscapes. He completed his doctoral degree from University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG), NC, USA. Currently, he is working on urban issues such as urban heat islands, urban walkability and spatial in-justice.
