Lost in the Wilderness

You are all alone, in an alien environment. Darkness, interspersed with patches of light. But the light moves, and creates shadows, and you are not sure if these monsters are real or in your head. You try to move, but fear freezes you in place. And suddenly you hear a terrifying growl, and then ear-splitting volleys of sound, like a thunderclap. You still can't move, and you curl up in place, in fright.
